Website!

That's right, our website is LIVE! Holy smokes, I was pretty damn happy when that happened. So now, I have a solid and fantastical online store!! Now I'm working on stuffing it full of fabulous products!! I was pretty excited to post a plushie today, a Monkey-Robot Plushie at that!! He's cute and fun, what can I say. And he likes to do curious little things like eat peas from the garden and have late night Star Wars marathons. He's a funny lil' one.

Anyways, tell your friends (and foes!!!) that Lemonade is finally online and ready to ship you some new friends! I'll be updating the website constantly with new purses and plushies and everything fun.

Happy July kiddos!! Here's my webbie site:

Molly Hearts Spring Purse!!

I know, that's a long name for a bag. But I like it. And Molly does *heart* spring. Molly was actually my grandma's name. Well she was actually a Mary, but she hated it and preferred to be called Molly. Which I think is an adorable name and she was an amazing crafter. She could knit up a buffalo wool sweater in a blink. Anyhooo, these are my spring/summer purses (late post, I KNOW!) and I think they're darling. The insides are lined with reclaimed sheets and pillow cases. Charming, no?

summertime plushie makin'

Just thought I'd post some sweet lil plushies. For some reason, I like how the little lambs look before I add their stuffing. I think they look rather cute flat! ....Things are picking up for Lemonade as the summer comes and we're getting busy, busy! Whoot, whoot! Come visit us at Fab Fair (Heritage Hall, Main St, Vancouver on May 7th and 8th).
And I'm at Portobello West all year long! (last Sunday of every month 12-6 @ the Rocky Mountaineer Station:

seattle trips

A few weeks ago we made a trip to Seattle for a few days and well, I've been a little tardy posting pics. I bought the boy tickets to see the Sonics and the Phoenix Suns play (basketball--for those who are going: "Who the hell are they?!") for Christmas, so that was the main reason for the trip. We hopped on a bus (25 bux each, sooo cheap!) had a nap and we were there. It was quite fabulous really. Anyhoo, just a few pics around town. The best pastry in the world from Piroshky Piroshky down at Pike place. Last time I was in Seattle with the sisters, I regretted not going there and the Ukrainian blood in the boy made us stop and we had a rhubarb piroshky which honestly, was like manna from heaven. SOOOoo good. Reminiscent of Grandma's rhubarb turnovers. The last few are some goodies I picked up at Nancy of the Schmancy-Fancy-Nancy stores (www.fancyschmancypants.com). Some adorable cards (www.apakstudio.com), some Ukrainian doll stamps from The Small Object, a pack of pretty little papes and a needle case also from The Small Object (www.thesmallobject.com). Heart her stuff. (^___^)

We also checked out some awesome art galleries. At BLVD, I liked Parskid's little creatures and I recommend looking at both artist's work with the 3D glasses!! (www.blvdart.com/index.php) Also checked out Robert Burden's crazy and awesome Toybox series at Roq La Rue Gallery. He has painted childhood action figures in a very large scale and it's worth checking out. It's crazy!! (www.roqlarue.com) My favorite one was the Birds of a Feather show at the Suite 100 Gallery and I luurved Timothy Karpinski. The last photo here is Mr. Karpinski's "Close Your Eyes and I am Quiet" piece. His work is all stitched together and painted on books! Eeeek! His details are quite impeccable The photos really do nothing for how awesome his work is... I have a crush on all of them. (suite100gallery.com/artist/timothykarpinski)

Anyways a short but awesome trip and I can't wait to go back...maybe next time I'll stop by the awesome fabric store Stitches and actually bring some fabric home. They carry Kokka fabrics. Fabrics to dream about baby....

hobo bags

This is my new favorite combo of fabrics. This here bag is my spring Lemonade Hobo Bag, she's quite delicious. It has a mocha denim outer-fabric and a combo of two different cotton polka dot fabrics. The grey dots on the cream are actually a metallic silver, which adds a sweet little sparklie touch. Sigh, I love lovely fabrics. Anyhoo, just thought I'd throw some sewing in, I promise to put more craftiness on here in the future. Happy Easter Egg weekend!! (it's all about the chocolates right??!) Cheeerio!!!

(pssst: If you're in Vancouver, I'll be selling these puppies at the Portobello West market!! ... http://vancouver.portobellowest.com )

good days and birthday things

Well, I had a birthday last friday. And it was a fabulous day. I went down to the quay market, and got myself some tulips and a london fog (tea) to start my day. I was actually very excited about being just shy of 30. The boy got me more flowers and some awesome tiny birthday cakes. AAAand, I also got a new bicycle for my present! How delicious is that?! (bestest boyfriend ever?!!) Last saturday, we finally found some we liked! Wahooo, I have a new bike! (him too, yay!) Now I'm excited to personalize it and make it super cute. (I have great plans you know) I've forgotten how much fun bicycle adventures are. Just in time for spring! Eeeek!!

thrifting

My aunties were in town and I met them for lunch yesterday, which was really awesome as they are adorable and lovely. But it made me sad and lonely for my family. So what else to do but some lovely thrifting/shopping therapy. I didn't come up with anything fun... but last week I did find some super scores. This is my favorite piece... a ruffle underskirt. sigh, soooo precious! It's made all my skirts so much cuter. Just in time for spring! (and it was 4 bux to boot which = mucho happiness)
